Multi-Parameter

TRO (ppm), Temperature, Conductivity, Optional pH, ORP
  • Our Sensor provides multiple measurements integrated in a single probe eliminating the cost of purchasing several discrete sensors.

Platform Sensor System

The Micro-Wire working electrode is capable of measuring Total Residual Oxidants, and tunable to measuring other compounds like free chlorine, chlorine, total chlorine, bromine, monochloramines, ozone, chlorine dioxide, and more.
  • Most sensors are a one-size fits all product, leaving the customer with little options to customize.  We’ve built our system to allow precise calibration to specific organic compounds for better accuracy in various applications.
  • The user will no longer need to buy sensors from multiple companies to get the measurements they need.

Amperometric Design Using Bare Electrodes

Using bare electrodes means no chemical reagents or membranes to maintain and replace.
  • Other commercially available sensors require fragile membranes filled with electrolyte that often tear or stretch leading to calibration issues or complete sensor failure.  Lucent has a sensor that can be operated for long perods of time without maintenance or calibration.

In-line Installation

Our sensor is insensitive to changes in flow and pressure in addition to lowering installation cost and improving accuracy of water treatment system control.
  • Installation directly into the sample line allowing for fast TRO readings every minute.  Online DPD systems need fed by long sample lines, potentially introducing contamination and increases the time between measurements.  This delayed sample loop creates problems with accurate control, leading to over and under chlorination.

Rugged Solid-State Design

Lucent has designed a sensor alongside the naval service warfare center to withstand the harshest environments or oceans present.
  • Patented self-cleaning technology maintains calibration and accuracy by automatically cleaning the electrodes mechanically and electrochemically.  Longer intervals between maintenance cycles significantly reduces operational costs.

Advanced 7″ Touchscreen LCD Display

Allows logging of measurement history and data storage for up to two years.
  • Logging data history helps prove environmental compliance and identify problems with treatment systems.  This history can show times when the treatment system was producing too little or too much oxidants helping identify failing components needing replaced, power interruptions, degradation of chemical additives, etc…
  • Adjustable scaling of outputs allowing for narrowing of desired range.
  • Advanced calibration options for laboratory accuracy and sensitivity.

Flexible Communication Options for Modern IoT

Primary connection is ethernet, capable of being connected 200′ away from the probe to the control room where the display is located.
  • Wi-Fi capable for remote operation with smartphone or computer.
  • 4-20mA outputs for PLC control.

Micro-Wire Working Electrode:

Allows for Ultra-Low Sensitivity, meaning more accurate readings on the low range where it matters most.
  • Scaling each measurement output for your specific application allows to focus in low-range, wide-range, or high-range.  Example range limits of 0.02-0.1 ppm.
  • Most sensors use macro electrodes and are less sensitive to lower range detection.
